Free delivery service is usually via a pallet service which is a safe method of transporting your furniture as it reduces the amount of handling of the furniture after leaving our warehouse. This method of delivery is also the quickest option as delivery in most instances is within 2 days (subject to the transport company being able to contact the customer by phone to book in the delivery). If the transport company are unable to contact you by phone the delivery will not usually be carried out, as this may result in a failed delivery, which in turn would incur a failed delivery charge, which is passed on to the customer.
Please be aware that pallet deliveries are delivered to the driveway and not carried into the home. The Palletways drivers will place the pallet with a pumper truck on the drive as close to your home as is possible. Please ensure you check the packaging for any obvious signs of damage and if there is anything you are unhappy about please note it on the driver’s paperwork.
It is very rare for any damages to occur but in the event of needing to send a replacement part it will make the process quicker if you have not signed the delivery as received in perfect condition if there is a problem later.
